Fair Air Heating & Cooling started in 2018 with a straightforward idea: Asheville homeowners deserved an HVAC company that told the truth — about pricing, about what their home actually needed, and about the work that had been done.
That idea hasn't changed. Our main priority has always been providing our customers with the highest quality heating and air conditioning products and services, installed by the finest tradesmen in the industry. We provide best-in-class HVAC installation across Asheville and the surrounding areas.
Our success didn't happen overnight — it came through doing right by every customer, every time. We never perform a repair without getting prior approval on pricing. Our team never sells any heating or cooling equipment that customers don't truly need. Whether you're replacing aging equipment, planning a new installation, or need routine service, our highly trained technicians deliver quality work at fair rates.
We are Energy Star certified and proud to carry Trane products and Samsung mini-splits — systems we recommend because we trust them, not because of margin.
Why we started
Asheville deserved something different.
When Fair Air launched in 2018, the Asheville market had no shortage of HVAC companies. But too many homeowners were getting burned — unexpected bills, upsold equipment, technicians who didn't show up or didn't finish the job.
We built Fair Air around three promises that haven't changed: tell customers exactly what their home needs, give them the price before starting any work, and finish what we start. Simple. But apparently rare.
